Well it's been a good run, but the time has come....haha I'm kidding, but I will need to fill you in on life these past three months since I have started Beautifull Profit's blog!
I feel that me doing three blogs a week isn't allowing me to do the type of research or provide you with the information that I want. My main intent was to be interactive and fun, as well as knowledgable and become more educated, and to eventually start a youtube channel, but there is no way I can achieve that goal with doing three blogs a week. Also, by me writing so often, I don't want my followers to get "bored," so I feel that by having one blog a week I can truly dig deep into a topic and help you all learn and become more educated. This will also allow me to create more recipes, spend less time on my phone/computer, spend more time with my loved ones and doing other things that I love, such as reading, crafting, exercising, and focusing on my future as a dietitian.
This has all been a learning experience, but if you never start you'll never know, right? I have also found that with what I am trying to promote and inspire is more of the nutrition and functional wellness side of health, and exercise is just too far out of my scope, so I will be getting rid of my Fun Fit Fridays, but don't worry because there are so many other fitness bloggers out there for you too follow :) If I do any interesting/exciting exercises I will upload them on my Instagram or in my personal life blogs. Also, stay tuned as I will be doing a 28 day Booty Fix starting January 1st through @bottylab, and I can't wait to show you my progress :).
Thank you all for your continuous encouragement and positivity, and I hope that I can keep inspiring you guys to BE FULL. BE FIT. BE YOUR OWN BEAUTIFULL PROFIT :)
I swear more and more of my friends are turning my wedding seasons into wedding years! Thank god I love weddings, because there truly is nothing better than getting together to celebrate a couple that you love and watch them get married and start their lives together. How many weddings have you been to that were bad, or you didn't feel happiness or love? My last wedding of the September to December "wedding season" was December 4th and it was for a dear friend from college!
Her wedding was on her parent's beautiful property! Side note: her mom owns @beaufortproper with the cutest clothing items, so go check it out! They had an oyster bar, which was so fitting to the location and extremely unique, and I'm all about different and original! We can't forget about the donut cake with cheesecake and a live band!! There's nothing better than a live band :)
Dad's Birthday Celebrations
Due to Dad's work schedule, the original plan was for mom and dad to meet Craig and I in Spartanburg to celebrate, but because his work got cut short he was able to come home to celebrate his birthday!
After Craig and I celebrated our friend's graduating from Chiropractic School Saturday morning, we drove to Charlotte to then celebrate our good family friend graduate from P.A. school and her engagement! :)
Next stop, Enrico's, a new, small Italian restaurant on Steel Creek Road that had a bar, so naturally we stopped for drinks and to-go pizza, where we then went home to see my sister, niece, her boyfriend and the puppy!!! We opened gifts, had buntinis from Nothing Bunt Cakes, and celebrated dad's birthday the Hostetler way!! PSA: If you've never had bunt cakes from here, omg, you must go try it! They're amazing!
Sunday was full of football and blogs :) My two favorite teams were playing Packers vs. Panthers -needless to say I was confused ;) Later that night we went to Daniel Stowe's Botanical Garden's Holiday's at the Garden light show! We had so much fun seeing the lights, touring the fairy village, playing "Amazing Race," & drinking hot chocolate!
Craig and I hopped in the car after work and drove to Wilmington to see and stay with some of our best friends before their beautiful baby boy arrives!
6:50 a.m. wake up call
7:00 a.m. hair and make up begins
7:15 a.m. mimosas, because why not? Our girls getting married!
11:00 a.m. off to the Basilica Shrine of Saint Mary to take pictures
12:00 find any scraps of food we can for lunch (TIP FOR THE WISE: always have food around, because your blood sugar will start dropping after a long day of preparation, and although it's the last thing on your mind because there is so much going on, it's definitely something to remember).
2:00 TIE THE KNOT!
5:00-6:29 Sweat anxiously while waiting until you have to give your MOH speech
6:30 Wow everyone with the most amazing speech (Fresh Prince of Bell Air rap)
Step one: Understand your relationship; is it funny? is it serious? is it silly? is it sensitive?
Step two: Make your speech more about the bride, groom and their marriage, and less about you and the bride, because not everyone understands your relationship
Step three: DEFINITELY put some jokes in there that everyone will understand. If there is an animal/pet/food that they are obsessed with talk about that. If there is a trait that one of them has joke about that! If there is a family member that everyone knows with a specific characteristic shout them out.
Step four: Briefly get sensitive by talking about how much you love them together, how they inspire you, and/or how much you believe in them and their future
Step five: Tell everyone the story of how they met (unless it would stir up any problems)
Step six: Throw something embarrassing in there if you can, but nothing over the top that would humiliate them, and definitely nothing about exes!
Step seven: End with a bang, either an emotional toast, or an amazing joke or life tip to help their marriage; something everyone will remember, because people really only ever remember the beginning and ends of lectures/speeches! In my case, it was a rap to the Fresh Prince of Bell Air. #killedit #mikedrop
