Appreciation. We all have tough days, or wake up early and say, "I don't want to go to work," I don't want to do life," "I don't want to get the kids ready, make breakfast, do the laundry and run errands," the list goes on. But have you ever thought, wow, I am blessed I am able to get up and use my legs and self-dress and self-feed with no dependence. Wow, I am so blessed I have a job to provide for myself and my family and a car to run errands. Wow, I am so grateful I was able to have children, as they are the most amazing part of my life, even if they drive me nuts sometimes. Wow, I have a laundry machine, clothes to put on my back and am able to pay the water bill and mortgage.
Positivity. Thanksgiving only comes around once a year, but we need to give thanks daily, and live our lives happily and as stress-free as we can, spreading more love and thankfulness in the world rather than stress, hate and bitterness. Remember, we all need to stay as positive as we can and understand how grateful and blessed we are for our lives and all that we have been given and all we have worked for in life. Next time you think of complaining about having to make Thanksgiving dinner or clean up the dishes after, remember you have someone to cook for and a roof over your head and food in your belly :)
Grateful. All of my family (immediate -besides mom, dad, sister and niece, and extended) live in Minnesota, and because it is such an expensive plane ticket up there, and it is so cold during the holidays, we usually are only able to make it up there in the summers every 2-3 years! Since we have never had family in the South, our best family friends took us in and each year we join them and their family for a Thanksgiving dinner with festivities (usually involving football and alcoholic beverages) to follow! The past two years our friends that we met in Nashville (Gabi and Corey) who are amazing musicians and singers were able to make it down for the festivities, which they turn into a live show for us :)

The last thing that I wanted to do was to make this Thanksgiving post sad or depressing, but I just wanted to create an eye opening post for everyone out there, and to help us all remember that we should treat every day as a day to be thankful for not just November 23rd.
The rest of my Thanksgiving weekend included picking out and decorating the Christmas tree, tasting Clean Juice, Small Business Saturday in South End, Dudeapalooza, Christmas picture photoshoot, and Bad Daddys for linner ;) Hope you all had an amazing weekend with plenty of tasty food and memories that will last a lifetime!
